The Thomaston Library will be closed on Monday, February 15th in observance of President's day. No items are due on this day and regular hours will resume on Tuesday, February 16th.

- The Thomaston Public Library is located in the Academy building at 60 Main Street in Thomaston, Maine. We have a vibrant and growing collection of contemporary and classic fiction and non-fiction, VHS and DVD movies, audio books, and a distinguished collection of books about Maine's rich history and by native authors. Our community living space, made possible by a generous donation from the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation, is the perfect place to sit for a spell and read the newspaper, chat with friends, or hold a meeting. Our current hours are: Monday: 11 to 7 Tuesday: 11 to 5 Wednesday: 11 to 5 Thursday: 11 to 5 Friday: 11 to 7 Saturday: 11 to 3

Are you interested in giving back to your community?
Consider volunteering your time at the Thomaston Library. There are many ways you can help us with our mission of providing educational, entertaining and informative programs and collections to the residents of Thomaston.
You can volunteer directly at the library to help out the staff, by shelving books, running errands, pitching in at programs, or even running a program of your own! To become a volunteer, e-mail Brian Sylvester at headlibrarian@thomaston.lib.me.us.
If you are interested in helping the library with funding, please consider joining the Friends of the Thomaston Library, a fund raising group of volunteers who work closely with the library to sponsor our many events. To join the Friends, contact Davene Fahy at cdfahy@gmail.com
