This comedy drama from Jean Renoir chronicles the revival of Paris' most notorious dance as it tells the story of a theater producer who turns a humble washerwoman into a star at his newly created Moulin Rouge. It stars Jean Gabin, who was known as the French Bogart. Edith Piaf makes a brief appearance.
Doors and bookstore open at 6 and admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted. The Thomaston Academy Building is handicapped accessible by the parking lot entrance. For more information call the library at 354-2453.



Local teacher Dena Davis will host a poetry writing workshop for children aged six to ten on Wednesday, April 21st, at 1 PM in the multipurpose room of the Thomaston Library. Registration for this event costs $5. To register, contact Dena Davis at 354-0614.
