The Thomaston Library Board of Trustees currently has openings for three new members. Trustee responsibilities include but aren't limited to attending monthly meetings, being available for discussion of library events, serving on various committees for the board, overseeing the library budget and staffing decisions, and being involved in the community on the library's behalf. The current co-chairs of the Board of Trustees are Stan Klein and Janet Bosworth.
Persons interested in joining the Library Board of Trustees should call the library at 354-2453 and speak with Brian Sylvester, or attend a Board of Trustees meeting. The meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m., and are open to the public. For more information, e-mail the library at TPL@thomaston.lib.me.us.
