Friday Night Film Series

The Friends of the Thomaston Library Present:

A Star Is Born
Friday, June 26th
6:30 p.m.
Thomaston Academy Building, Room 208

In "A Star is Born", Judy Garland plays Esther Blodgett, a small town girl with talent coming out her ears. Discovered by famous actor Norman Maine (James Mason), Blodgett rises to the top while he drinks himself to the bottom. The songs in this version (A Star Is Born was filmed before in 1937 and again in 1976) leap off the screen, especially "The Man That Got Away."

Doors and Bookshop open at 6. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call the Thomaston Public Library at (207) 354-2453.
