In 1979, internationally acclaimed classical violinist Isaac Stern was invited to perform concerts in China and gave a series of master classes to talented Chinese musicians at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music - - an extraordinary cultural exchange chronicled in this classic documentary.

"From Mao to Mozart" was filmed in 1979 and is not rated. It runs 83 minutes. The Thomaston Academy Building, on Main Street / Route One in Thomaston, is handicapped accessable from the parking lot entrance. For more information about the film series, call the library at 354-2453.
