The Glenn Miller Story

The Glenn Miller Story traces Miller's (James Stewart) rise from pit-orchestra trombone player to leader of the most successful big band of his era -- the early 1940s. June Allyson plays Miller's wife, Helen, who learns the value of patience while Glenn searches relentlessly for "the sound" that will put him on top. Harry Morgan plays his side-kick. Louis Armstrong and Gene Krupa pop up in cameos.


Admission is free but donations are appreciated. The Academy Building is handicap accessible by the elevator in the parking lot.

Call the library at 354- 2453 for further information. Doors open at 6:00 and the Hallway Books bookshop is open in the hallway of the first floor.
