Authors Among Us: Nancy Griffin

The Friends of the Thomaston Public Library Present a lecture by:

Nancy Griffin
author of "Making Whoopies!"
Wednesday, July 7th
7 PM
Room 208, Thomaston Academy Building

The first program of the 2010 Artists and Authors Among Us series is author Nancy Griffin introducing her new book Making Whoopies! which describes what could be declared the official Maine dessert. This fun and funky book is a wide-ranging, lighthearted look at whoopie pies and the folks who love them. It includes 15 tried-and-true recipes that will make your mouth water.

Nancy Griffin lives in Thomaston and has been a freelance writer for more than 20 years, writing for newspapers, magazines and trade publications. Before that, she was a newspaper and wire service reporter and editor. Nancy is the author of two previous books. A lifelong whoopie pie lover, she can often be found munching on one of these classic treats while writing. She has even been known to share, but not often.

The program includes time for questions as well as an opportunity to purchase signed copies of her books. A small reception will also be held.
