Friday Night Film Series

The Friends of the Thomaston Library present:

Manhattan
Friday, July 9th
6:30 PM
Room 208, Thomaston Academy Building

In the thick of a midlife crisis, television writer Isaac Davis (Woody Allen) finds himself torn between the sweet but far too young Tracy (Maril Hemingway, who received an Oscar nod for the role) and his best friend's mistress, Mary (Diane Keaton). Shot in black and whit and in wide-screen format - both firsts for director Allen - this film is as much a paean to the city he calls home as it is a tale of Davis's romantic foibles.

Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. The Thomaston Academy Building is handicapped accessible from the parking lot entrance. Doors and Bookshop open at 6. For more information, call the library at 354-2453.
